Elaine Noonan began weaving at Damascus Fiber Arts School after retirement and moving to Oregon from the Washington DC area. Elaine made friends with another school member while they were at Spanish classes and took the chance to try another outlet for her creativity.
Elaine enjoys the use of brightly colored yarns, as seen in her tapestry of fish and parrot Pancho. Currently she is creating family portraits and scenes of childhood using old photographs. This is a multi-year project.
When she isn’t weaving Elaine can be found painting, playing with her dog, or traveling around the world exploring. She is a retired teacher.
